About Us
It takes a Village
13 Viroqua investors and the Driftless United Futbol Athletic Club secured this 40-acre parcel and home to protect for future generations. Without their quick faith in the vision and initial investment, PrairieWind would not be protected.
It all started when Cecil Wright, Sonya's husband, took their dog Sally for a walk and saw the grand property for sale. He knew it'd be a perfect fit for our growing soccer club program, but also for so much more.
Sonya was equally interested in providing a new type of housing for the supply short rental market in Viroqua.
You can learn about our groundbreaking ceremony for 5 acres of athletic fields on the Vernon County Times.

From the Ground Up
It's fun to see something from the beginning. Watch the short video from Hall Realty when the property was on the market to get a better view of the 40 acre property.
This beautiful parcel is less than a mile from downtown Viroqua.
They toured the property April 12, 2020 and had an accepted offer April 27th, days after the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
